This evening at 19:45 Shanghai Shenhua played at home against Shandong Luneng as their 8th game in CSL 2012. After 90 minutes competition, two teams ended up holding each a 0-0 tie although Shenhua FC suffered serious absence of injured players.

On the 25th minute, the home team won a free kick straight to the goal, however, Mario's shoot was over the bar. After 8 minutes Shenhua got another chance of spot kicking but still, Jiang Kun and Dai Lin's successive trials did not knock the door open. Before the end of first 45 minutes, Mario dribbled into the penalty box and his shoot missed the target again.

Second half began with Jiang Kun's through ball after a series of combination, but then Fan Linjiang did not catch the opportunity. On 68th and 71st minute, Manset made twice the break-through after he dribbled two defenders, nevertheless, both shoots were saved by the goal-keeper. Finally, Shenhua FC played a 0-0 draw against Shandong Luneng FC.
